Bad on Politics #6: Stacey Abrams on Voting Rights

Stacey Abrams, needs no introduction but we’ll give her one anyway. She’s a New York times bestselling author, non profit CEO, and political leader.. and today she joins us to answer all our questions about voting rights: an incredibly important issue that we didn’t know NEARLY enough about before this interview.

After losing her 2018 Georgia gubernatorial race, Abrams created Fair Fight to ensure that all Americans were able to vote and to have their votes counted. We talk to her about the different forms of voter suppression and how this disproportionately affects people of color, women, the elderly, and college students. We also discuss how we can make sure we have a safe and fair election in 2020.

About Bad on Politics: Bad on Politics is a monthly bonus episode where we invite a guest expert to help us break down a political topic. We get it, politics is confusing and there’s a anxiety-inducing amount of news coverage to follow. So, we’re here to ask the “dumb” questions so you don’t have to. We want to break things down so you can understand what’s going on and make an informed opinion.
