Reading Women

Reading Women releases new episodes every Wednesday. Each month features two episodes on the same theme—one highlighting a range of titles and one discussing two titles more in depth—and two author interviews with women writers whose work we’ve loved.

Interview with Amy Ettinger

We adore ice cream—have we mentioned that yet? Our love of America’s favorite dessert inspired us to chat with Amy Ettinger, the author of Sweet Spot, which chronicles her journey to taste ice cream from all across the nation. Amy told us all about her adventures researching her new books, including a car hijacking, water buffalo gelato, and ice cream wars in the streets of New York.

About: Amy Ettinger is an essayist, journalist, and editor. She has written for the New York TimesNew York magazine, The Washington PostSalon, and the Huffington Post. She lives in Santa Cruz, California, with her husband and daughter.
