Author: Karen Connelly Governor-General Award winner Karen Connelly has a new non-fiction book out, a companion in some ways to her 2007 Orange Broadband Prize winning novel “The Lizard Cage”. In “Burmese Lessons” Connelly is living on the Thai-Burmese border where she falls madly in love with a guerrilla fighter and starts thinking about starting a family with him as he continues his struggle against the oppressive regime of Myanmar.
