Speaker Biography: Marilynne Robinson is the author of the novels "Gilead" (2004) -- winner of the Pulitzer Prize --and "Housekeeping" (1980) and two books of nonfiction, "Mother Country" and "The Death of Adam." She has written articles and book reviews for Harper's, The Paris Review and The New York Times Book Review. Her latest novel is "Home" (2008), a National Book Award finalist. She teaches at the University of Iowa Writers' Workshop and lives in Iowa.
