Rob Brezsny is my astrology guru, but he is also my guru of awesome quotations. Here is one from this week’s Free Will Astrology newsletter:

“It is the greatest of all mistakes to do nothing because you can only do a little,” said the writer Sydney Smith.

This is appropriate advice for writers creating work word by word that may take years or even decades to complete.

Speaking of slow -

(thank you to The Afterward for this news)

Oxford University’s Bodleian Library has unearthed what might be the world’s earliest known dust jacket. Here’s more on the find.

In other slow news, have you heard? – 145 year old missing library book returned

P.S. Poetry month is nearly over (April has been anything but slow) and I have done it zero justice. I apologize. I will now do a very little bit in belated celebration rather than continuing to do nothing – From The Afterword (again), here is some pleasant education on the subject of poetry: The NaPoMo Questionnaire

(Readers, I also want to let you know that there is a widget that pops up anytime you mouse over a book with an ISBN on LiveWriters – and you can buy that book from any of the vendors in the widget – try it!)
