Facebook is having some language fun. Have you yet to experience ye olde social network via Pirate English?
1) Scroll to the bottom of your Facebook page. 2) On the bottom left corner, click English: US. 3) When the language selection appears, click English (Pirate). Arg.
Speaking of pirates, one can’t go too long on a literary blog without shouting out to the Pirate Store – where kids learn to write and where one is always able to find exactly the best cage for ones parrot.
In publishing news – If the Kindle is overthrown by the mateys over at Apple, will Google even care? They had to create the Kindle so that the ebook content kingdom they rule over as pirate kings could sprout tentacles and take over the seven seas, which it is presently doing. So, mission accomplished?
Apple iPhone “Mediapad” Could Be a Kindle Killer
(PCWorld) Is Apple’s rumored “mediapad” entertainment device a threat to Amazon’s Kindle e-book reader? I think it is, but the only people who may care are current Kindle owners, some of whom may end up wishing they had waited on their purchase.
As I have said before: The Kindle in kindling.
It is always nice when the industry rumor mill starts validating what I have been saying, namely, that rumors of a ready-to-release Apple netbook actually refer to a supersized iPod touch… [the rest, here]
