I haven’t tried it yet, but there’s this site called Audible where you can download audio books. There is something really wonderful and almost primally comforting about being read to, and for some reason it hadn’t occured to me to partake in this delight outside of childhood. My problem is that I do everything in extremes, especially conveniences. An innocent audio book next week could turn into me wandering the house at bedtime trying on new shoes or inhaling chocolate fondue as my little darling cuddles up to the cold warmth of my laptop while it spews Suess at her, albeit charmingly. Ya know?
